ESCURSIONE A PIEDI SUI CRATERI DELLO STROMBOLI

​

PARTENZA DA GINOSTRA:

(Da Giugno a Settembre ogni Giovedì e Domenica) minimo 10 pax.

​

Si parte nel pomeriggio, alle 16:30 circa (l'orario varia in base alla stagione).

Il punto di raccolta è davanti al Bazar Ginostra alle ore 16:00 dove si prenderà contatto con la guida, si riceverà il casco (obbligatorio e fornito gratuitamente) e si effettuerà la registrazione.

LA SALITA dura 3 ore abbondanti.

Una volta attraversato il sentiero del Timpone si raggiunge il belvedere di Punta dei Corvi da dove si costeggerà un ripido e lungo sentiero che da sul versante della Sciara del Fuoco. Durante la salita si potranno notare, sopra la vostra testa, le affascinanti eruzioni del vulcano e le sue fumate. Eruzioni che diventeranno, man mano che si sale, sempre più nitide e spettacolari. Il sentiero in certi tratti è franoso e stretto a causa della vegetazione per cui abbastanza impegnativo. La cima si raggiunge al tramonto. La sosta avviene al di sopra delle bocche e dura circa un ora.  Durante la pausa ci si può sedere per mangiare un panino, per fare le foto o semplicemente per riposare mentre si gode di una meravigliosa veduta direttamente dentro i crateri che eruttano lava incandescente davanti a voi.

LA DISCESA durerà circa 2 ore ed avverrà sempre sul versante di Stromboli dove il sentiero, sabbioso, risulta più agevole durante la notte. Dopo l’escursione, una volta arrivati nel villaggio di Stromboli, la guida vi lascerà al porto di Scari dove ad attendervi ci sarà alle 23:00 una barca che vi riporterà a Ginostra.

PARTENZA DA STROMBOLI: (da Maggio a Settembre, tutti i giorni)

Si prende l’aliscafo della Libertylines  da Ginostra per Stromboli alle ore 15:30 (arrivo in 10 minuti) circa.

Il  biglietto dell’aliscafo costa circa 8,00 euro a persona ed è acquistabile presso la Biglietteria in Bazar.

Appena arrivati a Stromboli bisogna recarsi all’ufficio “Il Vulcano a Piedi”, in Via Pizzillo, 100 metri a piedi dal molo di Scari, dove vi aspetterà lo staff dell’ufficio e la guida. Dopo aver consegnato il tagliando di prenotazione ed effettuato la registrazione, riceverete il casco e le istruzioni per la salita. La salita da Stromboli in alta stagione comincia verso le 18:00 ma l’orario è spesso variabile. La salita dura 3 ore circa e avviene con numerose svolte lungo il pendio del Liscione; dopo tre o quattro soste intermedie si raggiunge la cima del pizzo dalla quale è possibile ammirare la spettacolare attività “Stromboliana” del vulcano.

Il sentiero di discesa (2 ore circa) percorre il versante Sud-Est della montagna; si muove al confine fra sommità craterica e vegetazione per poi entrare nel tipico canneto strombolano e ricondurre al paese. . Dopo l’escursione, una volta arrivati nel villaggio di Stromboli, la guida vi lascerà al porto di Scari dove ad attendervi ci sarà alle 23:00 una barca che vi riporterà a Ginostra.

Per motivi di sicurezza la salita ai crateri è strettamente regolata da ordinanza del Comune di Lipari e possibile solo in gruppi condotti da Guida Vulcanologica o Guida Alpina UIAGM/IFMGA.

Durata totale escursione circa 5/6 ore totali. Dislivello:900m.

EQUIPAGGIAMENTO NECESSARIO: 

Scarpe da trekking con calze alte

Lampada frontale/ Torcia con le batterie di ricambio - una per persona

Maglietta di ricambio

Pullover e giacca a vento (K-way)

Frutta, cioccolato, panino, uno spuntino

Minimo un litro di acqua a testa

E' possibile di noleggiare tutta l'attrezzatura. Per i costi e neccesità di noleggio è necessario di informarci abbastanza prima della salita.

INFO UTILI:

L’escursione viene effettuata in orario pomeridiano-serale, con orario di partenza variabile a seconda della stagione, in modo da raggiungere l’area dei crateri con le ultime luci ed osservare le esplosioni al buio.

La salita non è una passeggiata di breve durata; vi sono ripidi gradini e tratti coperti di sabbia e ceneri vulcaniche, dove procedere è abbastanza faticoso: si sconsiglia pertanto la salita a chi soffre di disturbi cardiaci o fisici in generale  (asma bronchiale, diabete, vertigini, etc.) e alle donne in gravidanza.

 Non indossare lenti a contatto.

EXCURSIONS AUX CRATÈRES DU STROMBOLI

DéPART DEPUIS GINOSTRA (juin – septembre )

Minimum 10 persones sont neccesaire

Rendez-vous devant le « Bazar Ginostra » à 16h 30 environ.

Le guide vous y attendra. Il remettra a chacun un casque et notera les coordonnées des participants.

LA MONTE'E – durée environ 3 heures

Le circuit emprunte le chemin du Timpone jusqu’au belvédère de Punta di Corvi. Un sentier escarpé longe le versant de la Sciara del Fuoco. Il se continue au milieu d’une végétation touffue, sur un terrain pierreux et parfois glissant. Vous pourrez déjà voir les panaches du fumée des éruptions et entendre le grondement des explosions.

LE SOMMET – arrêt pendant 1 heure environ (selon les conditions atmosphériques)

Le sommet est atteint après le coucher du soleil. Vous surplombez les bouches des cratères que vous pourrez admirer tout à loisir. Cette pause vous permettra aussi de vous restaurer, avant d’entamer la descente.

LA DESCENTE – durée environ 2 heures

Elle s’effectue toujours vers le village de Stromboli (même si le départ est depuis Ginostra)

 sur un chemin très sablonneux à la lueur des lampes de poche.

DÉPART DEPUIS STROMBOLI

L’après-midi, à h 16.00h l’aliscafo vous emmènera au port de Scari à Stromboli (15 min). Les billets de bateau sont en vente le jour même au Ticket Office « Bazar Ginostra ». Prix € 8.00

Arrivé à Stromboli, se rendre au bureau de « Il Vulcano à Piedi » situé 50 mètres du port du village de Stromboli (à côtè du Bar/Pizzeria Malandrino). Le staff vous attendra avec le guide au quel il faut donner la votre réservation faite par le Bazar. La montée dure 3 heures environ. Le départ dépend de la saison (18 :00h environ)

Chaque participant recevra un casque et donnera ses coordonnées.

Après la descente (2 heures environ) sur un chemin sablonneux, le guide vous accompagnerà au port de Scari où vous attendra un bateau à 23 :00h pour vous ramener à Ginostra.

RETOUR A' GINOSTRA

Un bateau privé vous attendra au port (principale) de Scari pour vous ramener à Ginostra.

INFO PRATIQUE

Les groupes sont constitués de 15 à 20 personnes accompagnés par deux guides.

Le circuit au départ de Ginostra est plus sportif que celui au départ de Stromboli.

La montée se fait à marche lente sous la surveillance des guides.

La location de chaussures et tout autre équipement peut se faire au bureau des guides via Roma.

Les personnes partant de Ginostra et qui veulent louer des chaussures, en font la demande lors de leur réservation au Bazar !

PRE'VOIR :

   - des chaussures de montagne et des chaussettes 

   - 1 lampe de poche avec piles de rechange.

   - au mois 1 bouteille d’eau + 1 citron

   - des biscuit ou sandwiches ou chocolat ou fruits

   - 1 chandail ou 1 blouson pour le sommet (k-way, pull-over)

ATTENTION :

La montée n’est pas une promenade. Une bonne forme physique est nécessaire. Nous déconseillons la montée aux personnes qui souffrent de troubles cardiaques ou physiques en général (asthme, bronchique, etc.) Ne pas utiliser de verres de contact.

EXCURSION TO THE CRATERS OF STROMBOLI

We organize the excursion to the crater in collaboration with the volcanological guides.

The guide who will accompany you up the volcano made part of the International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations (UIAGM/IFMGA).

How it works:

DEPARTURE FROM GINOSTRA (from June until September)

In order to start in Ginostra we need to be a minimun of 10 people.

The meeting point is in front of the Bazar Store at 16.30.

The guide will meet you and provide you with a mandatory safety helmet which is free of charge.

CLIMBING UP – takes 3 hours approximately

The hike starts following the path of Timpone (higher side of Ginostra) until arriving to the panoramic spot called Punta dei Corvi. From here the climb is quite steep along a  long path which leads all the way along the Sciara del Fuoco depression. During this long hike you can already see and hear the smoking volcano above you. The path becomes sometimes difficult because of the vegetation and rocky land.

SUMMIT – 1 hour app. (depends on the atmosphere/weather  conditions)

The mountain top (900m above sea level) will be reached by sunset. Once you arrive above the craters you will have approx. one hour break to admire the extraordinary lava eruptions as well as to sit and eat a snack.

DESCEND – takes 2 hours approximately

The descend take place always on the Stromboli village side.

The path sandy valley which makes it easier (than from Ginostra side) to go down in total darkness and with the torch lamp.

DEPARTURE FROM STROMBOLI SIDE

There is a hydrofoil which takes you from Ginostra to Stromboli village in the afternoon. It takes 10 minutes app. and the tickets are available in the ticket office of Bazar Store. Cost €8.00 pp.

Once you arrive in Stromboli, you have to go to the “Vulcano a Piedi” Office, situated 50 meters from the harbor,  inside a narrow street, next to the (first) Malandrino Bar.

The staff will wait for you with the reservation ticket (made by Bazar) and give you all the necessary instructions for climbing.

The climbing starts 3 hours before  sunset. During the climb you will be surrounded by wild natural landscape and you can enjoy beautiful panoramic views.

RETURN TO GINOSTRA:

After the descent (2 hours app.) a guide will accompany you to the Stromboli harbour to find a boat which takes you back to Ginostra at 11pm app.

USEFUL INFORMATION:

The hiking groups are composed up to 15-20 people and have to be accompanied by an authorized volcanological guide who will help you to discover the Island.

The tour from Ginostra side is more difficult physically but more panoramic and more relaxed as only one group at a time climbs up.

The hiking is slow and include several breaks. It’s also under the control constantly of the guide.

It’s possible to hire the hiking shoes as well as all other equipment in Bazar Store.

For any other information or question please do not hesitate to talk to the staff in the Bazar. Reservation is required.

A personal guide is possible for those who wish to enjoy this adventure in complete exclusivity, alone or with family or a group of friends. Prices varies depending on the season and must be booked beforehand.

EQUIPMENT:

Trekking shoes with socks

Flashlight – one per person with spare batteries

An extra cotton T-shirt, pullover and jacket (raincoats).

We suggest to climb with light equipment, with a backpack.

Shorts for the climb and long pants for the descent full of sand.

A bandana or a scarf to protect your face against dust

1-2 liters of water per person.

Packed food, biscuits , sandwich, chocolates or fruits or any snack

Cover yourself at the top as it is almost always windy.

BE AWARE:

The hike is not an easy walk especially for those who are not used to walking in the mountains. There is vertical drop of 900 m, with steep steps and sections covered with sand and ashes.  We do not recommend the tour for pregnant women, people suffering from heart or general physical problems (bronchial asthma, diabetes, vertigo, dizziness, ect.)
